October 2, 2025 – Hope Valley is about to welcome back a familiar face! Brooke Shields will reprise her role as Charlotte Thornton, Elizabeth’s former mother-in-law, in the 13th season of Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart. Fans last saw Charlotte during Season 3, and now she’ll be back for three episodes when the series returns in 2026.
What We Know About Charlotte’s Return
- Season 12 cliffhanger: The finale ended with Elizabeth (Erin Krakow, Blind Date Book Club) and Nathan (Kevin McGarry, Villa Amore) traveling to Cape Fullerton to stay at Charlotte’s boarding house.
- Little Jack’s journey: Season 13 will show Charlotte helping her grandson, Little Jack (Hyland Goodrich), reconnect with memories of his late father.
- Back in Hope Valley: Charlotte won’t stay in Cape Fullerton—she will also return to Hope Valley, where her presence sets the stage for heartfelt family moments and emotional growth.
